Vienna Opening a Great Success!
After 10 years of dreaming a and planning, Arte Amazonia, has finally celebrated it's opening in Vienna, Austria, on November 21, 2009. The majority of our collection comes from the indigenous people of the Orinoco in Venezuela, including the Yanomami, Piaroa, Hiwi, Ye'kuana and Waroa. We specialize in handicraft from the rainforest such as baskets, maracas, wood carvings, amazon jewellery, hammocks, palm fiber bags, coconut art, musical instruments, animal figures, original paintings depicting rainforest life and other rare collectibles. We hope to give the rainforests a local voice through their handicraft and also present a global vision through modern arts from around the world reflecting the Amazon and it's inhabitants.
